Gym Rules

​Using the Gyms

  • The gyms will be open when the Clubhouse is open and all members require a member's security fob to access the gyms and clubhouse.
    ​
  • The upper gym has been split into two areas and the lower gym into three areas so that safe social distancing can be maintained.  The area behind Squash court 1 is reserved for the exclusive use of GetResults Fitness.

  • No more than 2 people should be in the Upper Gym and 3 people in the Lower Gym at one time unless accompanied by a GetResults Fitness personal trainer. If households wish to train together then they should book the whole of either the Lower or Upper Gym.
UPPER GYM

  • The Upper Gym is split in half from the door to the wall to create 2 workout zones which can be booked using the clubspark system. 
  • Please consider a programme of work that allows you to use each area in intervals so that users can swap between areas by agreement.   
  • Below you can find a range of short videos with workout suggestions for these zones.​​
LOWER GYM

  • The Lower Gym is split into three areas.  Please consider a programme of work that allows you to use each area in 30 minute intervals so that users can swap between areas by agreement.
    ​
    • Area 1 (far end of the Gym) – treadmill, rowing machine and recumbent bicycle
    • Area 2 – Treadmill and Cross Trainer
    • Area 3 – Spin Cycle, Leg Press and Lat Pulldown/Seated Rows

  • Further Videos have been produced by GetResults Fitness with suggested routines for each of the Gym areas.  See below.

  • Anyone under 14 cannot use the gym.  Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.

  • NON- MEMBERS cannot use the gyms unless accompanied by a GetResults Fitness personal trainer and the appropriate visitor fee paid to your trainer (otherwise access will generally be limited to the back of squash court 1).

  • The Gym windows will be OPEN AT ALL TIMES for ventilation and MUST REMAIN OPEN.
  • Ensure you bring your own yoga mat, water and a bag to put any clothes or equipment not being used for your exercise.   Place your mat on the floor area in use.  Changing rooms are available and subject to the Changing Room Safeguarding Policy.

  • We encourage members to bring their own hand sanitiser.

  • Cleaning equipment will be available in each work area.  If not please let the caretaker, Davey Wilson, know.

  • Ensure you wipe down equipment, door handles and walls before and after use and replace equipment in the racks.

  • There is a first aid kit behind reception.  The Defibrillator is stored at reception.  Please report any accidents to the caretaker or office manager wltccaretaker@gmail.com or admin@whitecraigstennis.com

Booking a Gym Zone

Either the upper or lower gym areas must be booked prior to use through our CLUBSPARK booking system and is available to all members.  Follow extra guidance on our WEBSITE and Contact Amanda Slater admin@whitecraigstennis.com if you have an issues gaining access to the system.

  • Booking is free to members with gym access but restricted to 2 x ONE HOUR sessions per day.  Sessions may be booked in half hour slots.  It is NOT permitted to book 2 consecutive hours in one area of the gym.  This will be kept under regular review to see if we can allow more than one booking a day.  You will not be able to swap between Gyms; see videos from GetResults Fitness for potential routines you can adopt.

  • Bookings to be made with consideration to other members.  

  • Your booking does not entitle you to sole use of a particular area of the upper gym so please agree with other users when you will rotate between equipment.  We suggest max 15 mins per area in the Upper Gym.  Lower gym can be booked in 30 min slots and therefore a section can be booked and used for sole use.   We will rely on users common sense and respect for the other users.

  • In order to create a buffer for users arriving and departing, please leave 5 minutes cleaning time and depart 5 minutes before the end of your allotted time.  Entering and exiting the courts must be respectful of social distancing for all users.

  • Anyone using the gym without a booking may be asked to leave and/or have their booking rights restricted
